Welcome Our New Principal for the 2026–2027 School Year

We are delighted to announce that Mr. John Locke will serve Savannah Adventist Christian School as our new principal and 7th & 8th Grade teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. His passion for Christian education, extensive experience in Adventist schools, and commitment to helping every child reach their God-given potential make him a wonderful addition to our school family. We invite you to get to know him through the biography below.
John Locke holds a Master of Science in Education in Instructional Leadership and a teacher certification from Southern Adventist University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His career in Adventist education spans nearly two decades. He spent thirteen years teaching, training teachers, and running his own tutoring business in Gwangju, South Korea. Next, he served three years as Head High School Teacher at Highlands Adventist School in Elkins, West Virginia, where he built the school’s entire high school curriculum from the ground up and led it to a 100% graduation rate every year he served.
Most recently, he taught 3rd through 5th grade at Ramah Junior Academy in Savannah, giving him firsthand familiarity with the local Adventist school community.
A lifelong, committed Seventh-day Adventist Christian, he sees education as a calling—a way to help build the Kingdom of God—and he’s excited to bring that calling to the Savannah community. In the classroom, his focus is helping students grow into confident, independent learners, and as principal, he looks forward to working alongside teachers, families, and church members to improve children’s futures at Savannah Adventist Christian School.
Outside of school, he is married and has a teenager. The family loves hiking together and shares their home with a cat named Toby.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Locke and his family to the Savannah Adventist Christian School community. We invite our students, families, church members, alumni, and friends to join us in praying for him as he begins this new chapter of ministry and leadership. We look forward to all that God has in store for our school in the coming year.
